GREAT find!
2010 Summer Mix Series

I feel like I’m losing my effing mind today at work! Technology madness  - the 1’s and 0’s today are acting like a frickin herd of cats. We staged most of the stuff we are taking on the road trip in the kitchen last night - couldn’t start loading up the van due to the storms we had coming through so will be doing that tonight but the sun is out so yay! All I can say is that I can’t wait to hit the road and drive away from the madness for a little while. Oh yeah…Colorado - thinking that we are heading to Colorado after the crazy bike ride the girl is doing. I just need to experience some mountains and pine trees and rivers.

2 1/2 days and counting…

before Road Trip 2010 -  Destination  Unknown  commences! This is a 99  GMC Savanna conversion van that  we bought from a friend back in  January with only  53,000 miles on it  at a very good  price. It is loaded  with leather seats,  track lighting,  and wood paneling -  sweet! We had  been keeping an eye  out for  something that we could take  on  longer road trips with the dogs  and  stay cheaply at campgrounds or  parking lots. It needed some work as  it had been sitting in storage for a few years and we just picked it up today after having the AC recharged, LOF, and a general check over for the road trip we are leaving for on Thursday afternoon! My partner is riding in a 150 mile bike ride with her sister in Minneapolis to raise money and awareness for MS and then from there - who knows?! It is driving her a little crazy that we don’t have definite plans yet as she is usually “the planner” whereas I thrive on winging it and just seeing where our mood and the road takes us. My job while she is peddling her ass off for a good cause is to come up with some sort of plan or at least direction of travel. Well at least I started a list yesterday on Google Docs of stuff we need to bring and am determined that we do NOT bring everything but the kitchen sink - I want to be as minimalist as possible while packing and preparing for this trip. Can’t wait to get on the road!
