Here are some pictures from our bike ride today in the Minneapolis area. They have an awesome extensive bike path system and the weather was great - only a few sprinkles - it was a great day! More pics here in my trip gallery.
my new photo site
i decided to get back into photography and taking more pictures. i have a really expensive digital SLR with all sorts of fancy lenses, etc that I left sitting at home - i didn’t want to haul the damn thing around everywhere on our current road trip. i am trying to minimize the crap in my life and was wondering why i really needed all that fancy photography equipment to take pictures - well, i don’t. i have an amazing quality camera on my droid incredible and decided that it was all i would take pictures with on our trip. i’ve had some rainy days here in Minneapolis visiting with family and received an email from Flickr that my “pro” account had expired so instead of renewing it i began looking around for other options. I decided on a 14 day trial from SmugMug and just uploaded some trip photos. So far I really like their site - i realize there are free services out there but i rather pay for a quality service with great features than put up with mediocre services paid for by advertisements. Flickr was a good service but i really like the organization and feel of SmugMug - not to mention that it’s family owned which is always nice to support.
