One of my favorite all time authors
I was initially dead set against using or owning an electronic reader device. I ended up caving in and buying a Kindle as I was looking for a way to minimize and simplify my book collection. An e-reader makes logical sense for so many reasons when compared to physical books. The space issue alone makes it a better choice not to mention that most books are cheaper than their counterparts.
I however am not always ruled by logic and regardless of “reasoning” tend to follow my heart. It is for this reason that my Kindle tends to lay untouched on a shelf surrounded by piles of books waiting to be read. You see, logic says that e-readers are the best choice but my heart and hands still think otherwise.

rewild or die by Urban Scout
Received this book today in the mail - looking forward to reading it on the upcoming road trip.
Coming to the writings of Urban Scout afresh, I’m immediately surprised that I hadn’t embraced him earlier — maybe it was his apparent coolness that put me off, but then he makes a point of addressing this in one of the chapters of his new book, “Rewild or Die”. Those who have been taking in Scout’s musings as regular sustenance might find little that is new here, but for the rest of us — and surely that’s who this book is aimed at — this collection of essays comprises a rich vein of intelligence, humor, controversy and often plain bizarreness…
Barefoot Running - The Book
Very excited after checking the mail today- my new copy of Barefoot Running; How to Run Light and Free by Getting in Touch with the Earth by Michael Sandler arrived! I pre-ordered the book awhile back and have been really looking forward to reading it. It has already received high ratings and reviews. If you are interested in learning more about barefoot running I would definitely check it out.
I love books and reading and am a member of LibraryThing. This is my library catalog if interested in seeing my collection of books.
